Pauline Lois Jorgeson Pardo, 91, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 25, 2013, at her home in Oakmont, Santa Rosa, after a short illness.
She was born December 13, 1921 and was raised in Salinas, and also raised her family there with her husband, Charles R. Jorgeson. After his death in 1979, she met her second husband, Clay Pardo, and they moved to Oakmont in 1989.
Among her many interests in life, her great love was golf, at which she excelled, playing at courses all over the country. She was also a talented artist, specializing in watercolor landscapes, and a top-notch bridge player. She and Clay were able to take vacations across the country in their Airstream trailer for several years, and she made a number of trips to Europe as well.
She is survived by her husband, Clay; her daughter, Carol Jorgeson of Sebastopol, who loved her mother very much; her brother, John Alsop of Dallas, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held by the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Memorial Hospice, 821 Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401. The nurses from Hospice took wonderful care of her.
